Example for References / Bibliography

Dear Sir / Madam,

Greetings from ELT@I Tirupati Chapter. Thank you for your paper contributions.

In spite of our instructions/guidelines we received papers without proper formatting. Particularly while giving Bibliographic/Reference details at the end, further some of them sent without any references. Some have sent papers without name and affiliation details.

We suppose it is easy to you to recheck your own single paper, but it is very tough for us to check hundreds of papers. Anyway we have to do it again.

  • We request every one of you (though you have already sent your paper) to recheck your papers and see that your papers are with the required details (send the required details again).
  • Those who have sent without references have to add at least some references to add the flavour of research paper, otherwise it will become just an article.
  • Those who have just mentioned the title of the book and name of the author, have to provide full publication details of the book as given in the examples.
  • Those sent papers without name and details, have to add name and affiliation such as designation, institution, place, email id and mobile number etc.

According to MLA Handbook 7th Edition reference should be given in the following format.

v  Author’s name last name first comma (,) first name last full stop (.) Title of the book in italics full stop (.) place of publication colon (:) name of the publisher comma (,) year of publication full stop (.) print full stop (.) with hanging indentation as shown in the examples.

v  If it is a paper from a journal title of the referred paper in the inverted commas and volume no/ issue no, year and month of publication and page numbers have to be given in the following format.

We hope all of you may cooperate with us for the success of our conference.
